Luckee
❤️ Dim Sum is something people in Hong Kong would eat for lunch. Growing up in Hong Kong, I had dim sum almost every week. It is not uncommon to wait for hours for a table at your favourite dim sum restaurant on a Sunday. Cos dim sum lunch means family time and that’s what everybody does every Sunday.

❤️ Luckee is located in the SoHo Metropolitan hotel @MetHotels. It serves Chinese dim sum with a modern touch.

❤️ Pictured here is the Marble Dungeness Crab Ravioli ($7/pcs) - steamed dumpling with crab, shrimp & enoki with shanghainese vinaigrette.

❤️ Rainbow Basket ($28) dumplings four ways - shrimp, salmon, scallop & vegetable with XO sauce.

❤️ Luckee Basket ($28) a sampling of chef’s favourite dim sum.

❤️ Aren’t they pretty?
.
❤️ What are your favourite Hong Kong desserts? I love egg tarts, sweet potato sweet soup, sticky rice sesame balls, steamed egg pudding and of course bubble waffles! Bubble waffles in Hong Kong are seldom served at restaurants, it is more a street food that students would get as after school snacks. It’s interesting to see them being served at fancy restaurants nowadays. .
❤️ Featured here is Hong Kong style bubble waffle ($12) with ice cream & berry coulis.
.
❤️ Love the hotel parking. Your number plate is captured and recorded when you enter. So once you’ve paid, the exit gate will open automatically when you leave. Getting in and out is a breeze!
.
❤️ I’m most impressed by the beautiful bar area. You don’t find that in any other Chinese dim sum restaurant. It’s unconventional, but hey, cocktails go with any food, right?
