Bar Sybanne
❤️ Bar Sybanne is a new Middle Eastern / Mediterranean / Moroccan restaurant by Chef Howard Dubrovsky in Ossington Village. I love everything about it! Beautiful decor, attentive & friendly staff, amazing food & reasonable prices! . ❤️ We were lucky enough to have a tour of the kitchen and learned that they have separate and dedicated fryers for brussel leaves and chicken! Perfect for vegans! .
❤️ Featured here is one of my fave dishes of the night - Beet Dip ($6)! .
❤️ Here’s another of my fave dish at Bar Sybanne - Grilled Whole Fish with Romesco Sauce ($25)! It’s fun as you get to de-bone the fish yourself. .
❤️ Grilled King Oyster Mushroom with Baharat Aioli ($10), Lamb Kofta with Pomegranate Molasses & Tzatziki ($11), Fried Chicken with Orange Blossom Honey ($12), Harissa Dry Aged Beef Meatballs with Tomato ($12). We scraped all the sauce off the plates to the very last bit, they were that good!
.
❤️ Highlight of the night was definitely these Fried Brussel Leaves with Date & Almond ($11)! They are really crunchy & tasty, a bit like those Korean seaweed snacks, only better! .
❤️ Also featured here are the beautiful Saffron Rice with Apricot, Sultanas, Pistachio ($10). .
❤️ The desserts, omg, they were so so good! Chocolate Budino with Salted Caramel Fig Jam & Almonds ($10), Apple Cake with Moroccan Spiced Ice Cream ($10), Poached Pear with Yoghurt, Honey & Pistachio ($10).
. ❤️ The restaurant was named after Chef Howard Dubrovsky’s grandmothers Sybil and Anne who taught him how to cook and inspired him to become a chef. How cute is that?!
